If I don't have my car title, can I sell my car in Illinois?
Generally, you cannot sell a car in Illinois without a title. You can get a replacement by applying to the Illinois Secretary of State using Form VSD 190. However, you may be able to sell it to a salvage yard using the Bill of Sale.
