How to Transfer Nevada Title

How do I transfer title of my vehicle in Nevada (NV)?

The state of Nevada DOES REQUIRE a Certificate of Title in order to transfer ownership of your vehicle. However, if the vehicle is 2010 or older, and was last titled in Nevada with no liens, a title may not be required. The sale may be completed using an Application for Duplicate Title (VP 012) and a Bill of Sale.
In order to complete the sale of your Nevada vehicle, you must transfer your title by entering the name of the buyer/purchaser in the buyer/purchaser field. Please PRINT and SIGN your name in the seller/owner field EXACTLY as it appears at the top of the title.
License plates must be removed at time of pickup. They must be transferred to another vehicle or surrendered to the DMV within 30 days.
